About MaMu
MaMu is a solo design practice crafting immersive spaces and objects for Second Life. Every piece begins with original mesh and comes to life through physically based rendering (PBR), where material, light, and mood shape the experience.Though MaMu’s foundation is architectural, its work drifts beyond buildings. Some creations are structural, others more sentimental — moments captured in form. What connects them is a quiet clarity, a sense of feeling, and careful attention to detail.
MaMu favors the lasting over the loud. Fewer things, made with care. Designs that stay with you.
About Marina Münter
Artist and Builder
Marina Münter is an artist and curator based in Second Life. She is the founder of GBTH (Grab By The Horns), a virtual platform for experimental art. With MaMu, Marina shifts from curation to construction—designing, modeling, and texturing all content by herself.
MaMu is her personal exploration of architecture, nostalgia, and the virtual object. Each release is a statement of independence and care. This is not mass production—it’s a solo practice, shaped by time, patience, and memory.
Second Life and PBR
Where Material Meets Simulation
Second Life is a virtual world built by its residents. It’s a creative platform where users shape their environments, identities, and interactions through 3D design.MaMu creates for Second Life using Physically Based Rendering (PBR)—a system that simulates how real-world materials respond to light. Metal reflects. Walls absorb. Surfaces carry texture and depth. PBR allows virtual builds to behave with more realism, subtlety, and mood. All MaMu products are made exclusively for viewers that support PBR.
